During campaign create or edit, a creator describes their idea in a sentence (AiAssistant::generateCampaignDraft) and the AI drafts a title, tagline, and full description for them to edit - not publish blind. Rate-limited to 10 requests/min to keep API cost and abuse in check.
Every submitted campaign is silently screened (AiAssistant::screenCampaignQuality) for obvious red flags - vague or templated description, a goal wildly mismatched with the project, a description contradicting its category - and flagged ok / warning / concern for the moderation queue. It never blocks submission; a disabled or unavailable AI key just means no flag gets set, identical to the feature being off.
The homepage's personalized shortlist (AiAssistant::recommendCampaigns) only ever ranks or chooses among real campaign IDs already fetched from the database - it's deliberately never asked to invent one - and the caller discards any ID that isn't in the real candidate pool. It structurally can't put a nonexistent campaign on your homepage.
Switch providers any time. Leave the key blank and all three features simply stay off - the platform runs completely normally without AI configured.
